Case study:
The History of Auckland International Airport

Stanford James has a long-standing relationship with Auckland International Aiport Limited (AIAL), one of  New Zealand's top ten listed companies.

Auckland International Airport Limited is the main gateway to New Zealand, processing over 8.8 million passenger movements per year and providing employment for more than 7,500 people.

Its history dates back to 1928 when the Auckland Aero Club first leased the land where the airport now stands. In 2000, AIAL approached Stanford James to research, write and produce a history of Auckland International Airport, travelling from its humble beginnings as a Mangere dairy farmer's paddock to its current role as a South Pacific hub. Stanford James worked closely with AIAL to research and write a comprehensive 352-page history documenting this journey.

The book was published by Longman  in July 2003, and has been very well received in both literary and business circles.
